Ball Field

Our ball field is perfect for an afternoon pick-up game of softball or an easy practice session. We are proud to provide a practice space for soccer, t-ball, and softball teams that are mostly comprised of neighborhood kids and coached by neighborhood parents.

To keep our neighborhood special and enjoyable, please:
  • clean up after your event according to checklist on-line
  • safely pick up loose garbage and dispose in trash can
  • respect tennis court, field, playground, & shelter rules
  • report anything suspicious, unsafe, or concerning
  • review expectations with children and teens
  • get to know neighbors
  • take responsibility for pets and their waste
Reservations
Reservations for sports teams open February 1st. All other events open May 1st.
Ball field for sports teams is available for reservations Monday-Thursday nights, and Saturdays until 12pm. This allows for family/community to use fields.

There is a reservations blackout session between Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.

All teams must have a current insurance coverage certificate from the sponsoring league on file with the Pool / Park Directors.

For approval of reservations, see the reservations page.

Pets
ALL PETS MUST BE LEASHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF KIRKLAND LEASH LAWS as our park is not a designated off-leash park. Keep pets out of the playground and tennis courts, and away from children and other pets. Please also remember that many people and especially children are frightened of dogs and off-leash dogs could cause undue anxiety or accidental injury. There are designated off-leash parks at Edith Moulton Park and Jasper's Park.

For the most part, residents are very respectful and clean up after their pets. Many neighbors along the park fence have reported more than usual pet waste and "gifts" in their immediate access to the park. However, because other neighborhoods do not allow pets in their parks, those residents bring their dogs to our park. We ask that you model common sense practices and respectfully remind others to clean up after their pets.
