How the egg hiding works from the mouth of a four year old. Child rolls eyes. "Bunnies don't lay eggs. They are MAMMALS. Mammals can't lay eggs. The chickens lay the eggs and paint them in a factory". "Ok, but then why do we say that the bunnies lay the eggs"? Another eye roll, "The bunnies hide the eggs because they are faster and quicker than the chickens. Chickens are too slow. Why do you think we have peeps at Easter? It's because chickens lay all the eggs". So there you have it folks, the creatures of Mother Nature working together to bring us a morning of egg hunting, treat eating and lots and lots and lots of kids sharing their joy.  Applause to the ladies of Nancie Sage's coffee group who lent the bunnies a hand a stuffed 1300+ eggs for Saturday. It takes a village folks!  .The hunt was on..... The elusive Golden Egg stumped the toddler crowd, but our older experts trained for the prized egg all year!
